The Host

Science and Beers is founded and presented by me, Mick Magee. The series combines three of my favourite things; curiosity, drinking and talking to people. 

The communication of science has been of huge interest since my Masters in Marine Science. It was obtained from the University Denmark where I worked in Communication for five years. My Bachelors in Marine Biology was read at Queen's University Belfast near my hometown of Portaferry, Northern Ireland. 

Part of the TEDxOdense team in 2018, I enjoyed getting the best out of our speakers. Everyone has a story to tell. The stories scientists tell are backed up by numbers.
